born 1944 and father killed in operation market garden 6 month later. Brought up in a very tough area of Kent and had a fair education but i made it very difficult. Got into all sorts of trouble with the police and by the time i was 22 i had been to court 9 times and prison twice. First married at 2o yrs old and divorced at 30. I am the father of two children from that marriage and after re-marrying am the father of another son.
I am now retired from AFR and have been married to a long suffering lady for over 30yrs
This autobiography draws parrallels between the way life was in the 1950s/60s and the way delinquents are treated today 2007, and were yesterdays 1960s. Also the way Dan, accepted his punishments as a way of life even though it appears that he may not have agreed entirely with the convictions sometimes.
